2 days could just be down to stress or other hormones or anything.
However I believe blood tests would show up a pregnancy now, so you could make an appointment to see your GP. However you may wish to wait up to 7 days to take a test - some can be done on the first day of a missed period, but results aren't as accurate. Also make sure you pee first thing in the morning as this is when the concentration of hormones in urine is highest.
Good luck - I hope you get the answer you want with any future tests.

Pregnancy tests work on measuring a hormone produced when the fertilised egg embedds itself in your womb lining. From day one it will double in quantity every day. Home pregnancy tests are so sensitive that you can reliably detect a positive result 4 days before your period is due. Sometimes you can get a negative then a couple of days later test again and get positive because it was too soon. By the day your period is due, the hormone level is well above the detectable level so your negative result is reliable. Stop worrying and your period will come, if it doesn't come, see your dr.

No it's not too soon. Most tests you buy these days are so advanced you can take them the day your period is due so if it's negative you MAY be okay. I would wait a few more days (yes I know it's an anxious wait) but if you are pregnant it will show more clearly on the test (the pregnancy hormone will be stronger).

it totally depends on the type of test you are using different tests need different levels of the hormone to work. Try wait a week then take a test using the first pee of the day (the hormone will be strongest) then you should get a good result.
Also think of reasons why you might be late, stressed, anxious, busy dates mixed up. this could save you a small fortune in tests.
Good Luck Hon I hope you get the result you want!

Some of the tests that are available nowadays can be used even on the day your period is due to find out if you're pregnant, but don't leave it too long like my mate did, she did a test after about 4 months of no periods (irregular) and because the hormone wasn't present in her urine, she had countless negative tests. She found out in the end, she was 6 months pregnant, her doctor told her that after so long, the hormone disappears out of your system.

The test is accurate from the day your period is due so its not too early. I got an accurate positive result the day after my period was due. But if the amounts of HcG hormone have not built up in your urine enough to detect then it can come up negative. Maybe wait a few days and test again or see your doctor about having a serum bHcG test which is very accurate at detecting the amounts of HcG in your bloodstream.

K.. First off, doctors don't have better tests. We used EPT in my office. Second, if you want to know for sure, get a blood test. It will show lower amounts of hormones then a urine test will. It shouldn't be too soon, but you never know.

If your cicle is normally regular and you are two days late and you the test shows negative you probably are not pregnant. Pregnancy tests are extremely accurate. If you don't get your period with in a week I would contact your doctor.

It could be too soon. The best time to test is using first morning urine.
