Absolutely not.
You have the duty as a citizen to speak out on both the things you agree with and the things you disagree with. No one should accept 100% of what their government says and does unless they are a mindless automaton with no will of their own.
You also have the duty to support/not support what your leaders are doing by voting.
If I really, really believed in a particular candidate or person, I would also volunteer for them - that's supporting with more than just words!

I totally disagree. You might not know this, but the US is a democracy ~ BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE! If you think that we should just blindly follow GW because he was elected, then you must be stupid and/or lazy. Support them no matter what?!? Are you insane?!? Sometimes an employer realizes that they hired the wrong person for a job. Does that mean that the employer should just sit back and watch that employee wreck the business he/she built? Hey look, we arent even 100% sure that the election that put him in office the first, or second time(s) was even REAL, so this idea of just supporting GW because hes "in charge" is ridiculous. Another point ! GW is as dumb as a sack of rocks and the real people making the decisions are the ones whose names werent on any ballots any of us saw. Did you see Carl Roves name on any of them? I didnt. Hey would you feel the same way if GW named your family a terrorist organization and said you should all be jailed? Would you sit back and say " oh.. okay, I guess youre in charge. ho hum..." We dont need to rebel and start a civil war. That democaracy you dont know much about has a process called impeachment. You should research that. Good luck.

No, you do not have to blindy support our leaders. That is why they are elected officials, because they are suppose to listen to the people of this country. Then they are to make decisions based on what the majority of Americans want. We do not elect them to office so that they can line their pockets with dirty money, or start wars based on their own personal agendas. Sadly, to many people in this country feel the same way you do. That is how the Bush regime is able to continue ruining this country.
If everyone blindly supported their leaders then we would not have ever had to impeach a president.
What would have happened in this country if everyone through out history had just blindly followed our leaders? Racism, inequality, poverty, etc would all be much larger problems than they are currently.
That is the point in a democracy, we all have a say in what goes on in this country. Unfortunately not enough people excercise their rights on this issue.

Of course you can disagree!!
Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you feel so strongly that you're going to explode and cause an insurrection. That's why we get along with our parents and bosses and teachers although we don't like them all the time.
Leadership shouldn't be confused with policy though. When you're looking at someone leadership, look at that person's qualities and techniques, not what that person is vying for nor who that person is working with. Many people didn't like Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War because of how he didn't make himself an abolitionist from the get go nor how he wanted to handle the South's reconstruction. His leadership was phenomenal in how he kept searching for a good General to lead the Union and in how he respected the slave states' rights which didn't leave the union in spite of the Emancipation.
Likewise, understand what Bush is doing and how he's trying to be flexible. His change to a diplomatic approach now with North Korea can be compared with Carter's approach with regards to Iran and Ayatollah Khomeini. He isn't doing what he wants now, he's doing what he needs to in order to wrap up loose ends and keep ALL domestic and internation parties happy whether they're lobbyists, citizens, other heads of state, or anti-American foreigners.

Supporting and disgreeing can be done at the same time. And there are more options between rebellion and silence.
I think its important to understand that yes, they are our leaders and this is the way they have chosen to run our country. But that doesnt mean we have to be completely silent, and mindlessly agree with them. We shouldnt change the way we think because of our leadership. We should only do so if their reasoning is brilliantly compelling to us, and as we all know this is not the case. I respect that George Bush is a confused human like everyone of us, but that does not change that what is being done is full of injustice, and is not truly beneficial for anyone. I guess you can say it could be worse, but a lot of things could be.

Uh...It's not civil war to disagree with the administration. Dissent is truly American.
Walter Lippman said: "The opposition is indispensable. A good statesmen, like any other sensible human being, always learns more from his opponents than from his fervent supporters."
Lippman was a little crazy in his later year, but I believe what he said here is vital.

If a person feels they do not agree with an administration's policy, we have a duty to stand and say so. It does not mean to take a violent approach. That is why our FIRST amendment is freedom of speech. It is (in my opinion) every Americans obligation to state their point of view. Changes do not come from silence.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive. (Thomas Jefferson)

i agree to an extent. i feel as though it's our civic duty to question our leaders. otherwise whats to keep them from doing whatever they want with no concern for the people. as for the civil war thing you metioned. i don't think in this case it would be necessary. the country isn't in immediate peril or doing extremely bad economically so we can deal with having idiots run things for the moment.

No, no, it's not right. If you are a lemming, you MUST support your leadership. Even if that means running off the cliff, and there is a marine volcano erupting down there, burning, burning, burning.

You can always let the Administration know that you don't support their actions if you feel it is wrong. That is what a democracy is all about.
