they dont find out in this episode "marry-go-round", but paige has always been curious about cole (hint)............
but the charmed ones do not vanquish him properly until season 5 episode #12 "centennial charmed" (100th episode of charmed)
season 4 is a awesome season and well thought of and the episode "centennial charmed" is a really well done episode..........

They finally vanquished Cole on his 110th birthday when he became an avatar in order to keep Phoebe as his wife. Paige had a cold and when she sneezed she orbed into the world that Cole wanted, in that world however, Cole was not immortal and the Charmed Ones were no more because the Paige of that world was killed before she was discovered. Finally Paige brought together Phoebe, (who stayed with Cole to protect Piper) and Piper (who was a demon hunter), and they vanquished him and the world was restored.

they cole in an alternative reality on his 110th birthday. paige wanted to vanquish cole by herself so she became invisable and tried to vanquish cole from the inside but he is indistrucktable. he then becomes an avatar and he has the power to go back in time or rewrite it. he goes to an alternative reallity where he becomes belthazore. paige orbs into this alternate reality and finds her sisters, the charmed ones are reconsituted (in the alternate reality) then they vanquish cole (belthazor) paige goes back to her reality.

i dont know if they find out right then and there. i dont know if they find out knowing them they will find out, but yes they do vanquish him. it takes awile but they do.
