No, because I scratch my nose all the time, I never get money :(

I am originally from Edinburgh & we always said an itchy nose was a surprise, I now live in central region & they say it means u are going to be angry. Itchy left hand was the one that is meant to be money. Scratch it on wood it's sure to be good.

I don't know about 'Scratching': but it is said: or so I have been told from being a young boy!!
Itchy Nose: Fight.
Itchy Ear: Someone is talking about you.
Itchy Palm: comming into money.
Itchy Chin: someone is lying.
Itchy 'Privates': Go see a doctor!!!

No if you scratch your nose someone is coming to visit you, if you scratch your right hand you are going to spend money, if you scratch your left hand you are going to get money, if your ears itch or burn then someone is talking about you. my grandmother told me these when i was young and they are pretty accurate.

I think it's more likely you just have an itchy nose.
The proverb you are relating to is about itchy palms, left to receive and right to pay it out.

I've heard that it's scratching the palm of your hand! But, having said that, I often scratch the palms of my hands [allergic reations] BUT I don't have a pot of gold showing up . . .ahh well, such is life!

The saying is if your hands are itchy then money is coming. Although never happened to me.
