It's the last day of class and our professor wants us to meet up at a resaurant instead of hold class. Is it wrong of me to bring a friend along?? I didn't get a chance to ask him in class... so I'm taking a poll here about it.

You should email your professor and ask to be sure.

Sure bring him along! Social rules say that he has to foot the bill for the entire class though, as he is a total newb and has nothing to do whatsoever with your trip to the restaurant.

depends on your professor. if he's the type that enjoys meeting new people then by any means i doubt he'll mind if you bring a friend. at least have your friend say that he/she wanted to meet the awesome professor that you talked about (or someting like that).

if he's a non-amiable professor, then maybe you shouldnt.

it really depends on the professor and how close you are with professor.

Depends on the professor, but if you really wanna bring a friend, then do it! worse case scenario, just make your friend sit at another table while "class" is meeting.

It's a restaurant, comon. Everyone'll be having fun, and if the teacher's inviting you, no worries. He won't mind anymore than any of your classmates. Your friend will probably get some extra attention anyway since he's not normally there. :-)

Just go with your class. You don't need your friend, meet up with them later.

Sounds like something I would ask! Well, it depends on what you're going to be doing there. I think that if it's not something important, like a test, then I don't think there should be a problem.

Toughie. Is it possible to have your friend come and sit at a different spot until you get the prof's approval?
