I like rock and folk music and broadway music, too. But Baroque is my favorite.

J.S. Bach, and pipe organs are an awesome combination. Toccata in “C”.
Why? I like the way it flows. Complicated and progressive. Powerful, and soothing at the same time.

Well, there is just something transporting about Renaissance and Baroque polyphony. I'm not a very religious person, and, therefore, don't see god in it, so much as I see the nature of man:
What a piece of work is a man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals!
(Shakespeare...of course)

Myself, I love the opera and Beethoven. And as for why - man, I'd think that would be obvious. Variety is the spice of life, my friend! A life of pure heavy metal or rock'n'roll isn't worth much by default of lack of originality, you know?

I like Baroque because i've been playing it for eleven years. I like Bach, Vivaldi, Seitz, Handel, Paganini and more..

I love it, especially Bach. It has such beautiful simplicity and precision, yet manages to create wonderful emotional arcs.
My favorite--5th Brandenburg.
