try my best to overcome the challenge. Personal satisfaction for completing something difficult is always a reward. Never set your sights so low that you win every time. Even in failing if you learned you won something.

Truthfully it depends on the challenge. If it is a challenge I feel is wrong in some way I will avoid it. If if is a challenge that will test my mental or physical abilities I try my hardest to meet it head on and do my best to accomplish something from it.

If I have the time, I like to do my homework on whatever the challenge is, get some feed-back from close family/friends, pray/meditate and then address the challenge.
If I have no time or very little time, I try to draw from whatever knowledge I have for the pro's and con's, then address the challenge.
I hardly ever back down from a challenge, unless I know for a fact it is beyond my capabilities, both physically and mentally.
I know when to quit.

Do what ever it takes to conquer that challenge. There are some things you can get around, you just have to go through it.

Figure out why I am faced with it then I will do everything in my power to overcome it, and I never run away from it, that's for pushovers. That's like signing up for english class and then skipping school because it's too hard for you. You're the one who wanted to do it in the first place!

I assess the challenge to see if it is feasible and worthwhile. If so, I give it a shot. This ensures a greater degree of success.

Curse whoever it was who put me in this position!
(Pausing for effect)
Actually, i usually do my best to accomplish the task at hand.....so even if i fail, i'll know i gave it my all.
But i most definitely work harder at self-appointed tasks than ones assigned by others. Because i find the ones i give myself more realistic, more attainable. And more important to me, too. Because i know the *reasons* i'm doing it, and i don't have to second-guess anyone else's motives.
