Most people say that time travel is impossible. Does anyone think the concept in event horizon is likely to be any more realistic? The spacecraft uses a large metalic sphere to manipulate gravity and create wormholes in spacetime. It is then able to travel the universe.

Yes I have seen the movie. I really would like to have a copy of the segment where they enter the ship and blood drops are all over in the air. I also want one of the fire in zero gravity - it is exactly as it should be (in the shape of a sphere spreading out equally in all directions). I was more interested in acquiring video clips for my classes than in analyzing the possibility of time travel.

No way.

The key idea behind a ship's movement like that would be to have a quantum computer. Basically, that means having a processor that is so powerful and synchronzied with the universe that it can change reality itself. Moreover, NOBODY knows what in the world a wormhole would do if it was passed through nor can anyone actually, define and recognize the essence of a wormhole.

And spacetime? Now we're getting to string theory, Grand Unified Theory, and the nature of bosons and fermions in relation to the existence of dimensions themselves. Sorry. EH has its suspense and shocks (like when all those worms are in the sick bay and the whole explosive setting sequence) but no, it's not realistic at all.

I saw a film named that but it was a space horror flick. It wasn't anything like what you are describing-that one sounds good.

it is absurd

i may as well try to traverse the universe by using the right sort of bubble bath

I would like to think that it is possible. Who knows, I am no scientist.

I don't think it's possible. But I think the movie is great....Sam Neil is so creepy!
