You have a lot of options in the auto transport industry with a four car carrier and a storage lot.
OPTION ONE - Terminal Service
Nationwide carriers are always looking for local terminals. So if you are within say a four hour drive of some major cities you are likely ready to go.
What you will want to do is contact or in some way announce your self to the auto transport industry. I would recommend going to http://www.transportreviews.com/ and emailing or faxing companies one at a time with your estimated rates. You can then pick-up cars and hold them for the larger trucks to come by and take to their final destination. Or just the opposite carriers can drop the car off to you and you can provide the "last mile" service delivering the car, collecting CODs and even possibly offering extra services like car washing before delivery.
OPTION TWO - Operate on a Route or Nationwide
With a four car carrier it is likely going to be tough to really make your money back on nationwide hauls. But you can always do some specific routes that brokers use frequently. For example North east to Florida and back up. Or East coast to Texas and back.
Once again I would recommend accounting yourself to the brokers in the industry and provide them with your estimated prices for the routes you want to provide. They will then add you to their call and/or fax lists to contact when they get an order on your route.
TERMINAL SERVICE
You can provide both of the above services and also terminal service. Typically a terminal is a place that customers can drop their vehicle off to. You will complete a bill of lading and get paid a per night storage rate on the vehicle. Unless you are near some big cities I wouldn't count on this for much revenue but every little bit can help.
