There have been over 2,500 Americans killed in action. Today I heard one member of Bush's administration report that the 2,500 KIA are just a "number." Weapons of Mass destruction were never found. Bush admitted that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. When Bush talks about the war he uses expressions that make Americans seem like we are the bullies of the world. Yet the Bush administration attacks anyone who speaks out against the war as "unpatriotic." Our secritary of defense Donald Rumsfeld visited Saddam in the 1980's when Saddam was an ally to support him with weapons that are now killing Americans. Has anyone else bothered to look at these facts? Don't be ignorant and label this question the rantings of a liberal. This war is not just.

I know, let's just pull all our troops out right now, and watch as the whole middle east just tears itself apart, so millions can die. Great idea.

I'm in Iraq now. The war is actually being run by Bush's opponents..so nothing is really getting done. Instead of kicking butt like we should, the leaders are listening to the psychologists, the therapists, and everyone else, just trying to run a politically correct war, which is BS. There is nothing sweet about war, and there shouldn't be any "rules of war" either. If they soldiers were allowed to just do their job......they would have already been home by now. And contrary to popular belief, WMD HAS been found in Iraq, on more than one occasion. As recently as 2 weeks ago, shells containing Saren and Mustard Gas were located. The news media doesn't try to shove all this down our throat, like they do with anything that is bad news. They have never reported anything that is good news. What about all the Iraqis that now have running water and electricity for the first time? Surely they won't report that. I'm against this war like many other people. But as long as we're here, we just as soon kick @$$ and get it over with. My blame is on the news media for all the biased reporting.

It doesn't matter if people believe it's going well or not. Clearly it is not. This military campaign was and continues to be a catastrophic failure. It is NOT the fault of the troops. I am not in a position to say why things turned out the way they did, but what can we expect from a corrupt administration whose primary concern is gathering wealth and manipulating it's constituency with false Christianity. We lost a lot of allies by going into this unilaterally. And with no exit strategy. Now what do we do? "Shut up and support the president"? No thanks. That's how we got to where we are. We must stay mindful of our mistakes and teach our children to think critically and ask questions. Social apathy is the reason this administration is in power. Don't bother trying to change the minds of adults -- they're too busy Believing in stuff.

This war like any other war can not be evaluated as long as it is running. I think we have to wait another 20 years until historcs teach us, what the real reasons have been for this war and which effect it had on the long run.

It is easy to condemn the Bush administration for doing wrong; also is easy to blame Bush a lier and cheater because he obviously instrumentalized our fear from Saddam in order to create positive emotions for waging war.

But he also might have had information and reasons when starting this war which in this moment still are confidential.and the public will know about these in 10 or 20 years when the archives will be opened.

I guess it all depends on what your definition of "going well' would be. Who have we freed? In what ways have we been rewarded for our preemptive action? What is the return on our investment?(Must be one of those long term bond deals.) How much more oil has reached the market? How stable is that area of the world now? Is Iran more or less powerful because of this move on our part? What is our long term plan for this area? Did the original 'plan' work out as envisioned? I think we have stuck our arm in a hornets nest and even if we pull our arm out of the nest the hornets are still going to follow us for some time and distance. We Americans seem to have a proclivity for simple, easy answers when in the Geo-political sphere the answers are very seldom simple. Iraq was a disaster as drawn by artificial boundaries post WW I. If you would like a preview of things to come just remember Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia. Remember all of the different factions in post Israeli invasion Lebanon? Mistakes made long ago have a way of coming back around from time to time. I just wonder why throughout the ages humankind finds it necessary to kill each other over greed, lust, and such.

I don't know but I don't think so. I don't even think Americans really know what is even happening with the war. We just see the stories on the news with tanks and suicide bombers. I would like to know what the war is really about. I would like to hear what the Iraqi people think. There should be a documentary about the people of Iraq and how they are living with the war. I don't like war because it is ultimately motivated by hate .

i personally as a military wife, who's husband has been over there twice. Think this war or so called war is all about bush gaining power, but instead of worring about gaining power of his own people and worring about our country he wants power that's all. I do believe that the men and woman who have died for this country should be honored it shows that even though they do not believe in what our president is doing they will do anything to deffend our freedom and safety of our people.

No, I don't believe so. Our troops are overthere being killed over something that is not our problem. And when we do train these people with our weapons, who do you think they're going to use this on in a few years. OUR TROOPS NEED TO COME BACK HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
