Im going to the philippines in january any suggestion on anything fun to do?

January is the best month ever!! (as far as I can tell)
You'll be able to catch a glimpse, watch live bands and be wild in the streets, party, party and party till the sun comes up it's called the "Sinulog festival" People around the world would'nt wanna miss Sinulog, witness the event and know the history of the island.
You'd actually love Cebu for it's people and the beauty of nature itself. Cebu is the Queen City of the south and has several historical monuments and on how Cebu came to be. I suggest you should visit the Magellan's cross (the pride of Cebu), the beaches located in Mactan, eat lunch at SUTUKIL located in Mactan - it is very famous for its fresh seafood, go to LARSIAN - famous for it's barbque's, the malls and nightlife in Cebu. Cebuanos love to party!! You'll actually love it there. Aside from the summer heat and humid location, it's still pretty fun!! You won't have to worry one single bit - everybody speaks english fluently, friendly and accommodating, they'd even give you smiles along the sidewalk!! LOL.

Cebu is the Queen City of the South because it is the center of economic and cultural activities in Visayas.
There are a lot of attractions when you come to Cebu. The New Year's Eve celebration and the Carnival Parade will greet you in January. Visit the Magellan's Cross and reminisce how the Spanish colonizers started propagating Christianity in the Philippines. Come to the numerous beaches Cebu and you will have fun.

If you come to Cebu in January, you'll probably catch the Sinulog Mardi Gras which is an annual event that draws lots of tourists from all over the world.

Really loud New Year's Eve and lots of parties. Sinulog (street dancing) is on the third Sunday of January. And, if you still want to go to the beaches, it's still nice and not so crowded like summer.
