Yes, it's normal. Most women don't have a period for 6-12 months or longer if they are *exclusively* nursing for the first 6 months. And a woman who is exclusively nursing a baby under 6 months old and hasn't had a period is 98% protected from pregnancy (higher effectiveness as birth control than the birth control Pill), as well.

Yes! It's very normal not to have a period while breast feeding. If you are also on Depo that can slow down your menstal as well. It's not a bad thing. Its like birthcontroll, just without all the hormonal change. But becareful, you can still get pregnant if your body decides to give you a little surprise ovulation.

Yes thats completely 100% normal. Its the hormones ion your body and you probably wonty get one until you are done breast fedsing. While breast feeding my son I didnt have a period until he was 5 months old when I put him on a bottle. Dont worry- it will come right back! UNFORTUNATELY! LOL

Yes. Perfectly normal. Happens to most moms. I didn't get my period until my baby was 9 months old. It was a sad sad day when it finally came! It still haunts me. Every monther is different though. Some get it right away, some don't get it for the entire time they are breastfeeding. My friend got it four weeks after she stopped bleeding from giving birth and she was still breastfeeding. Just enjoy the break!

So normal - and I was really sad when the 'no period thing' ended for me after only six months - I had a friend who didn't have one for a year! I breastfed exclusively for a year and so did she... I think it might have something to do with body fat... In skinny women it takes longer for a period to come back...

My daughter is 11 months and no periods yet. They usually show back up sometime after the nighttime feedings go away, but it depends--everyone is different. Congrats on breastfeeding! Good job!!

yes

your hormones are still on perg/baby and have not returned to normal. In some women it is normal not to have a period up to a year after giving birth

if concerned talk to your doctor or health nurse
