Yes, it's a billionth of an iPod, but since i is an imaginary number representing the square root of -1, you don't have to worry; iPod nano means it is both too small and too imaginary to exist.

Don't be a smart ***. lol. of course not, look at hte nano yourself. that thing is accually pretty big. Go to Hong Kong or Beijing or even Shanghai China. I found an mp3 player that is the size of my fingernail, now thats a iPod nano (from the originally humungo ginormus iPod)

i guess it refers to the number of desired buyers ...compared to the ones they got with the original iPod
may also refer to the period of time over which they're gonna get such a number...in minutes...to b optimistic:)

no, apple just had to come up with a snappy yet easy to remmeber name for their newer smaller player, and they had already used mini.
