but i don't wnat it to look like animated at all i want it to look like a photograph can this be done and how much will it cost. also i have pretty dark skin(think eric estrada) will this make things more difficult

you have to find a good artist whos been doing it for a long time...granted the more time they have in the more its gonna cost but I got a tat on my forearm for $200 and it looks like a $200 tat.....the others I paid alot more for alot less ink but they are of great quality....do your homework on these people its gonna last forever.....I have 6 and one regret

It does sound like your dark skin might be an issue, Raul. Would probably cost more to fill it in.
As far as a model, think about Marilyn Monroe, or Rita Hayworth, or any of those models from that era. For ideas, do searches on world war 2 aircraft nose art, and pin up girls.

If you bring in a picture the tattoo artist will talk out with you what can be done and what you want and they might even do sketches with you.
The cost of the tattoo will depend on the size and detail you want which you will have to discuss with the artist as well.
Don't be shy going in and talking to your local tatoo artist, it's their job and their passion. They will take the time to make sure you get what you want.
Personally on darker skin I like just black ink. If you wanted some lighter colours it might be more difficult.

YES..........YOU CAN GET A TATTOO EVEN IF YOU SKIN IS DARK............LOOK AT SOME OF THE BASKETBALL PLAYERS THEY HAVE TATTOOS...............BUT WHAT YOU
'RE ASKING FOR IS GOING TO BE HARD TO FIND SOMEONE THAT WILL DO THAT.....THEY HAVE TO BE REALLY GOOD AND BE WILLING TO TAKE THE EXTRA TIME FOR YOU....I SAW A MAN HAVE A PORTRAIT OF HIS YOUNG DAUGHTER TATTOO ON HIS CHEST...IT TOOK 5 SITTING JUST TO GET THE OUTLINE DONE....THEN ANOTHER 3 SITTINGS FOR THE COLOR.....IT CAME OUT SUPPER GREAT BUT IT WAS A LONG TIME......EACH ONE OF HIS SITTING WERE ABOUT 6-8 HOURS........THE ARTIST THAT DID IT IS PASSED AWAY...I'M SURE IF YOU LOOK AROUND AND WATCH AND ASK QUESTIONS OF THE ARTIST YOU WILL FIND ONE......BUT NOW TO THE COST? YOU HAD BETTER HAVE A POCKET FULL OF MONEY......IT WILL VARY FROM ARTIST TO ARTIST......BUT I CAN SAY THAT YOU WILL BE LOOKING AT FEW A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS.....AND MORE THAN ONE SITTING...........BUT KEEP LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT ARTIST..........IF THAT IS REALLY WHAT YOU HAVE YOUR HEART SET ON GETTING................

Put aside $600 or it's going to be a chop job. If you are under 25, then you should wait. That's quite a bit of ink.

Look up Kat from Miami Ink (the TLC show) online...she is the pin-up queen and is AMAZING! I do believe it will cost quite a bit though.

pin up girls are SO cool. its best to use Grey on Grey. stray away from Betty boob or Jessica rabbit, try someone real like Melissa ford or Buffy the body

it might cost about 60 dollars. since you have darker skin it will be kinda darker but not hard to see! it can be done! i hope i helped you atleast a bit!
