When his wife does absolutely nothing but smoke weed 24/7, drink almost nightly, doesn't clean up after herself, let alone the house, orders out 4/5 nights a week, let's her 13 y/o daughter sleep out so she doesn't have to deal with her, stay in bed till 1/2/3pm on weekends, always has time for her lush girlfriends, shuns all responsibility, ruins your credit, etc., and blames you, who goes to work everyday at a job he despises, but needs the money for the mortgage, her car, etc., who built a basement apartment so her parents can turn a 3-6 month stay into 4 years, who takes her nephew who sleeps over every weekend wherever he takes his kids and treats him like one of his own, thats who. There's more too but you get the idea. You know, there isn't enough information in your question for anyone to answer. Did he wait to leave so that his kids will be old enough? What went on in that household. How dare someone trash this guy without really knowing all the details. He could be a total loser, but then again he could have plenty of damn good reasons.

If a grown adult walks out on their marriage, it's not to hurt the children. If you think about it, to stay in a marriage that it's healthy isn't good for the children anyway. What you must consider is getting a divorce doesn't mean than you divorce you children. You must remember that they didn't ask to come into this world of confusion!

I would say it would be out of inconsideration, not for the wife but mainly for the kids. I think when men do that they are afraid of something they think they can't handle, running away from your problems definately doesn't help you solve them because all they do is follow you. It might have just been something he couldn't handle hisself or something the wife could've done. in any situation, kids don't deserve to be in the middle of all the insanity, because they deserve nothing but the best. I think maybe counseling would have helped if he was willing to do so also.

Well, lots of things could, but the thing is what did he really leave you for. Was he cheating i have never seen a marriage break up for no reason.Never make the children a reason to stay.Children learn love by example if they see loving parents they learn from that .If it was an unhealthy relationship ,be glad and move on.

Sometimes depression can drive a person to do things like that. Was he depressed or anxious in any way? He may have also felt as if he were not providing for his wife and kids properly. You won't know unless he confesses. He could have been cheating...

It's the same reason why a woman would do it to him...Getting back to your question all I can say because you did not give details is it really depends on the man and the woman and what type of relationship they have...if you give more details when asking a question you will get better answers from me anyway...

It happens every day....I am sure some feel that they are not ready for a responsibility, they feel their youth is diminishing and they act like scared little dogs put their tails between their legs and run off. It's sad but I know it happens.
