Southern fried chicken, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn bread, hot biscuits with butter, cranberry sauce.. homemade apple pie with ice cream..
we don't eat that much, too many carbs.. but when we do.. Mmmmmmm.. oh, don't forget the watermelon.. the grandkids just love spitting those out to see whose went the furthest.

This is for one of those summer get togethers here in WI

A large serving of broccoli, mixed with the minimum amount of chicken that comes with it. Tofu with onions and bell peppers. Twice cooked pork. An egg roll. A small amount of rice noodles. For dessert-watermelon cubes and plum sesame balls

I like making lots and lots of stuff to go in a chef salad. I keep the ingrediants separate. A couple of different kinds of greens, turkey, bacon, shrimp, tomatoes, carrot chunks, alphalpha sprouts... whatever I have in the fridge and allow everyone to make their own favorite salad.
It's so good, and everyone gets what they want.

My favorite meal is spareribs and sauerkraut. I also love baked turkey with my dad's recipe for stuffing (venison hamberger, water chestnuts, celery, and sage dressing.) My dad was famous for his apple pies. He put 12 cups of apples in a pie. It was like Mount Everest.

But my husband is a good cook too. He makes Bulyogi with stir fried vegetables. He makes a good Oriental fish dish too.
