I would be thrilled if the person I was dating was ticklish - as long as she enjoyed playful tickling. If she really hated it, I would still accept her, respect her and care about her but I would still secretly be wishing that there was a way to show her the pleasurable side of playful tickling.

The only way I can see it as a negative is if she is SOOOOOO hyper ticklish that it literally hurts her when she is being tickled and she cannot ever enjoy it. That is when I feel bad for her because:
A) There are people who will not respect her and take advantage of her.
B) I might accidentally tickle her if I give her a back scratch or a massage (I love to give and receive both!) and
C) Being as affectionate as I am, I would probably have to resist touching her to prevent tickling her.

Being hypo-sensitive (or ticklish) is not a laughing matter. My aunt used to tickle me so much when I was a child that I would get sick from it.
I thought I would overcome it but my poor fiance has to watch where he puts his hands on me all the time or I will start to giggle. But we also have fun having tickle fights. Unfortunately he usually wins because he's less ticklish in less places.
And that's life. You should not reject someone because they laugh too much when you touch them. Just find the places you can touch and go from there.
