Ok this is what happened ...I went and got a Cadillac from a car lot after 2 days things started going out in the car first the starter, then main computer in the car, then the ignition module, and something else to do with the ignition. I wouldnt have complained but here is the catch...the car lot put a computer thing in the car when i got it so if you dont make your payments it shuts the car down. After paying out 2,000 dollars for all the parts and labor for this stuff i talked to a mechanic who has dealt with this car lot before and said that i wasnt the first person to have this happen to them. He told me that if your car is computerized like mine was then this thing that the car lot put in it can send computer gliches to your car and screw everything up. out of 3 months the car only ran for a week. They FINALLY picked it up today and told me they are going to sell the car and I will have to pay the remainder of the note on the car.. This isnt fair...is it legal

Document every thing that has happened to the car from day 1. Include as much information as you can from the mechanic who worked on it, and get some info on the device that was installed by the dealership. Take the whole package to small claims court and ask for a judgment against the dealer for selling a defective car. Make sure you include every thing you fixed.

Did you sign a as is form? If you did not you can protest this and WIN.. All dealers when selling you a used car must do this if not they are liable to fix and repair at no cost to you. You may have to spend a little money to take it to a small claims court but if brought to the dealers attention 9 out of 1o times they want no part with the law involvement. Also with a lemon law as long as you document all events you have 3 days 72 hours to return. Good Luckk tou you:)

Legally you can:

1. Go to the police. Though they probably will ignore you.

2. Call a lawyer and sue. Which is expensive, time consuming.

3. Start a protest in front of the car lot. But then you are giving a chance to the owner to call the police on you.

4. Sit at home, get mad, and turn blue. Nobody gets hurt, but you do lose a few brain cells and suffer a temporary high blood pressure.

Most states have the 'lemon law' but I think you are beyond the time. I would go to the Better Business Bureau or any other local consumer advocate group.
