My sister in law moved to Belize because the cost of living there is so much less than here in the US.

And if you believe that America is the best country in the world, there should be no harm in actually experiencing for yourself how other cultures deal with the same kinds of issues we here face every day.

Personally, I think the US has a lot of problems, like poverty, and lack of universal health care, and education opportunities. And have you ever noticed that when the budget gets way out of reason, that the government cuts benefits that the citizens have paid for, like social security, and education support and health care, instead of the the benefits Congress votes for themselves?

If you've done any traveling abroad (and I don't mean Club Med in Acapulco) you will see places that all have their pros and cons. I myself value personal liberty and the freedom from cultural and religious dogma. We are constantly told "It's a free Country" what does that mean? how free are you? can you walk on the beach with a beer? what if you wanted to smoke pot in your own house? What if you're an atheist? and preferred leaders who don't pray and rely on the religion for guidance. There are certainly better places to live, if these things are of material concern to you.
