Please call a beekeeper and NOT pest control. A beekeeper will come in and remove the wax, honey, and bees. A pest control person will kill all the bees first and then remove the wax, honey, and dead bees. There is no real diffrence to you. But many beekeepers are hunting for bees which have lived in the wild for a couple years. Wild honey bees are very uncommon now because of mites and diseases, so many beekeepers are very interested in bees which are more reisitant. (Bees in beehives are typically treated with medications several times a year to kill mites and cure infections.)
Are you sure they are honey bees and not wasps or hornets? Bees will typically not explore the house beyond their hive, so it is strange that they are getting in your light fixtures...

You need to call a pest control service in your area and have them remove the hive. Sealing wherever they get in is also a good idea, since the lingering scent of pheromones will attract more bees and you'll have the same problem year after year.

A beekeeper will remove the queen, if he can get to the hive (which might be in your wall....) and if the queen is gone the workers will follow. He should then remove the hive and all the honey. It will be a sticky mess.

Call a professional. I watched Dirty Jobs on Discovery and that could be a very, very large problem.

Capture and remove the queen. In other words, this is not a do it yourself project.
