i heard that a man's sperm is most active when he wakes up in the morning? is there any truth to that?

No a mans sperm in the morning, is probably all dead sperm.
The most active sperm, is new sperm, which would be the sperm that is made directly afer ejaculation.
If you are trying to get pregnant, do it twice 1-2 hours a part, the second dose will be freshly made healthy sperm.
If you trying to not get pregnant, then do it only once a day, in the evening or morning, not both.
