Talk to your Photographer about bringing changes of clothes. That way, you can bring some nice clothes, and casual wear.
Your photographer should not be talking about HOW MANY shots, but how much TIME that you will work with him/her in the studio. If you have an hour long appointment, can YOU make three clothes changes? I am talking about QUICK CHANGE.
There is a reason why there is NO mirror in a photo studio dressing room. GET THE CLOTHES changed quick, and use the mirror that is outside the dressing room. The photographer will also LOOK you over good, so he/she can get great shots.
Try to keep your photo appointment FUN. The best picture happen when you are HAPPY.

My husband and I had our pictures taken and we both wore white tee shirts and Levi's and no shoes with white socks. It's a very casual picture but it's my favorite one.

Something pretty, but not supertrendy that will be dated and laughable in a few years. Whatever color looks best on you, choose that one.
