His first and only directed movie was Maximum Overdrive, where cars suddenly came alive and attacked people when Haley's Comet came around earth, which was back in 1986. I have no idea where they filmed it but you can look on Yahoo movies for that answer under the title search Maximum Overdrive. However, the movie was so poor and did so poorly, Stephen King's most likely never going to direct another movie as long as he lives.
