They can munch on tender roots of plants but normally eat decaying leaves etc.
If you ask them politely, they'll leave but it will be a while cos it takes so long for them to put their boots on.

Millipedes can do some damage to roots and stems of seedlings though mostly they eat damp and decaying plant matter.

They should not be confused with centipedes which have fewer legs and are fast moving. Centipedes are carnivorous and do a great deal to keep down pests which would otherwise damage plants. They are a Good Thing!

I think they either eat decaying vegetable matter or are carnivorous; so no, I don't think they do.
