did it work for you? what were your major side effects and if it did work, how long until you became pregnant? I just started my first treatment

I was on Clomid for several cycles. Yes, it "worked" in that it caused me to ovulate. Unfortunately, I didn't happen to get pregnant. I went on a healthy diet and started a serious exercise program, and strangely enough, it appears that I've started to ovulate without needing the medication.

Side effects for me: headaches, emotional PMS-like symptoms, lack of cervical fluid (ew, but true), bloating, hot flashes...there were probably more too, I just don't remember. But plenty of women hardly experience any side effects and it is known to be successful in aiding conception in many cases.

I had an eptopic using Clomid. I then learned from a specialist that it was the wrong treatment for me. So I hope you are working with a REAL infertility specialist and not just a OBGYN Cowboy/girl.

Finally I had two beautiful kids using ivf. Not twins, three times at ivf. Everything is happily ever after.

Best of luck to you.

Hi, I used clomid 50mg, days 5 - 9 to get pregnant with my son. It took me 3 cycles. I am now TTC #2 and begin cycle 3 this month. Fingers crossed. Good luck!!

32 years later, and 3 beautiful children later, I would say it worded just fine.
