I cannot imagine that any real Doctor would advocate this procedure. It is not new, in fact it was quite the fad in the '70's until people figured out that it did not work. Only one thing has been proven to cause weight loss and that is eating less than you burn. Of course, if you manage to find a real funky charletan then you may be able to pick up a nasty infection that could cause weight loss.
