Why is it okay for men to screw as many girls they want, but when women do it, they are labeled as sluts?

Men can screw and have sex with as many girls they want, but when women do it, we are labeled as sluts and skanks. And i hate it when a guy says they want to marry a virgin but then goes out and have sex with different women. Why is this so?

It is now and always has been a man's world. All over the globe women are treated as possessions. Men think sleeping around with many women shows how virile they are. A woman doesn't need to prove anything, so she is a slut if she has as much sex as say, her brother.

Women are less than chattel and as such, must show their worth by being celibate so the man she marries can brag about his virgin bride. If men sleep with all the women, where do the virgins come from?

Its NOT but these beliefs begin by the antiquated thinking of many Judeo-Christian Mothers because they believe what their Mothers taught them. Many Mothers tell their little girls "Nice girls dont do this or that" and they tell their Sons that they want to find a "Good Girl" to bring home to Mamma. But in their training of their sons they do not tell them to keep their "****" in their pants till they are married and of course many Fathers will reinforce that teaching by telling them to go out and "conquor" as many as they can before they are "harnessed by marrage." That way they will know what to do when they get married. A big farce! Just cause a man has had a number of "experiences" does not mean they know what they are doing. This is can be attested to by many women who realise that many men have no idea how to "press the right buttons on a women" or even know how to find them. This is not altered by the schools either, public, private or christian schools do not teach relationships 101, so the stupidity is reinforced because, those males who are too "Macho" or "Testosterone flooded" to realise that they are actually knuckle dragging neanderthols, never learn.
The worst part of this is that many young girls and older women will reinforce this as well by wanting to be close to these misfits cause they think that having these guys on their arms somehow many them look good or cool.
SO what is the best answer of why? Who knows the better question should be If you were looking for someone to build a life with would you want someone whit a little experience, or a complete novice? For my money Id rather have someone with experience and a willingness to explore and have fun in that exploration!

Welcome to the blessing of the patriarchal society. A double standard has always existed where sexual boundaries are concerned. Men are "sowing their oats", while women are whoring around and bringing disgrace upon themselves and their families. Some might say that it's because women are supposed to be the more pure, virginal sex who abstains until the holy union of marriage. I would lean more towards the school of thought that men are scared of women who possess the sexual confidence to be assertive, so it has come to be labeled negatively. Funny that the same men who would label Girl A a "skank" or "slutty" would still sure as hell sleep with her. Whether or not they tell their friends is another story.

It's ok for girls to screw their brains out, too... however, at no less a risk for catching some nasty diseases if you're indiscriminate about it, than it is for the guys! The guy lookin' for a virginal bride is not only a hypocrite, but a brainless moron... he'd have to hang around the school gates of his elementary school and ogle the 3rd and 4th graders until he got arrested and then lose his own 'male virginity' to some guy named Bubba!

But seriously, what's the concern? Do as you feel right for YOU and know that someone is always out there to call you something for some reason or another. If you run around balling everyone for no reason except to do it, well then that IS kinda slutty and you put yourself in the same dirthole as the guys that do it.

p.s. ALL guys don't slutt around... they just want other guys to think they're getting more than they are, if any at all!

It's because we live in a world that degrades and enslave women, this has been since the pilgrims and probably Evan before that , classic case the Salem witch burnings, those close minded men couldn't handle smart women so they killed them. Also it's hypocritical of them to even say that. They are sluts to then wouldn't you say. The only reason men want to marry so called virgins is for status. I say if it's good for the pot then it's good for the kettle.

It's not okay, really. No one should be having sex with 50 people. But men have, throughout history, been considered the more lusty gender and dominating. It has always been part of their job, after all, to "seed" the universe and produce offspring. Plus with icons likle Hugh Heffner, we're not gonna see a change in that anytime soon. Hopefully he'll die soon. :P

Women have every right to do what they want- if it includes premarital sex, then go for it. Just be safe, use a condom and consider birth control.

I'm female and don't particularly want to marry a virgin, in today's society that usually means they are either uber religious (never a turn on) or extremely socially awkward. Its also evolutionary. Women have to care for their children so they are more particular about choosing a mate (read- they aren't supposed to sleep around), and men simply want to spread their genetic code by fathering as many children as possible (read- be man-whores). This isn't really what we do today, but it is normal in primates and other animals.

Guys want girls like that, girls don't have the same Reproductive drive like guys. I'd want to compare it to a crack addiction, males and the reproductive drive. But I've never been addicted to crack. Trust me, especially in being a girl, which are more emotional, you probably wouldn't be able to take the lust that males are tools of. Seriously, humans only feel true lust after their first encounter with some form of sexual release. Girls are supposed to be pure and holy, so even if you do make love a lot, it'd be best to keep it to yourself, and make sure it's with someone worthwhile. Males on the otherhand have a lot more freedom on the matter. But I believe it evens out. You can't be mad at this. Woman have most of the advantages, when truly feminine. Police do not treat them as harshly, people give them favours, They have a lot of ups being female. Men are expected to look out for themselves. It almost makes equal gender rights a joke. Rights are equal in their own respect. If you don't have a specific advantage you can be there is another way for your gender to overcome the obstacle. That's one aspect of looking at it.

They're just dying to tell their buds - locker room or whatever just to brag "I bagged me a chick".

Double standards are there, just don't fall victim to those double standards.

On the other hand, should you know about safe sex as well (condom, birth control, etc). Do take care.

Because years ago when society started men treated women a property and were physically stronger. As time went on this became an accepted social standard. But current sociological research shows that this is changing.
