I doubt very much race seperates Jeb Bush & his cuban wife, or the Cubans living in the US versus those living on the island. Castro caused the embargo, the US just enforced it. Most Americans would love to see Cuba become a free & open democracy, to see that island opened to trade & US tourism. When the embargo lifts that island will come quickly back to life, but we won't knowingly support a govt we think is evil just because it's a short flight to nice beaches. When Castro dies someone equally stupid will take his place & slowly over time the place will move to democracy while preventing the problems that led to the communist revolution. Cuba doesn't matter to the US except how it plays with Cuban-American voters in south Florida, & that we don't want drugs being transshipped thru there, that's it.

The people that should have the say are Cubans that stayed. The ones that could not take the heat they left. Cubans in America should have nothing to say period. They took the easy way out that's not patriotic to their county. So shut your mouth be Americans you made a choice you can't have it two ways. That's reality shut up already.

Just because we don't trade with them doesn't mean the rest of the world isn't. There are some that probably don't like us and there are some that do, just like anywhere else. But considering the restrictive gov. of Castro they would probably embrace U.S. democracy. Us invading when he dies is something else, but if a democratic leader emerges and we support him i think they will be friendly towards us.

Cubans have a couple of advantages we do not have.
For instance they do not have the same level of pollution because their technology has been kept at a minimum. They probably do not eat natural foods.
The government provides free educations from grade school through college.
There is free medical care from birth to death.

Ask the ones who are fleeing from Cuba.

The US has not forced anything on them. It was their governments actions and choices.
