Is it ok to talk my teacher about what his religion believes? I am thinking about converting to that religion and I would like to learn about it more, and he has answered a lot of my questions so far.

It is probably not allowed for them to discuss their religion with you. He is probably allowed to tell you about the religion, but not about his personal views.
However, you could posssibly set up a meeting, outside of school time, like at a bookstore, to discuss their religion.

If the main problem is the location of where you will be talking with your teacher about religion, then change the location. Instead ask your teacher what church he/she goes to and what time the church meetings take place. Go on your own. You will probably see your teacher there. I have a hunch that your teacher will be looking for you.

Everyone needs someone to look up to at any point of time, and I believe the current person whom you look up to happens to be your teacher.

Religions are a tricky affair: try talking to as many people about it as possible. You can look at it factually or spiritually.

You're walking on a thin line. Possibly you could get your teacher in trouble for it. I'd suggest that you not discuss it during class, or maybe even not on school grounds. Meet at church or synagogue or whatever.

Yes it is ok but if your teacher starts telling you what he/she thinks is best for you then it is not right to hear what he/she has to say. The only thing your teacher can really say is encourage you on your decisions and not enforce his/her religion on you.

Yes, but you must realize that if he really answers you truthfully, he is libel if you turn around and expose him. Don't do this to be threatening. A better way would be to seek the counsel of a clergyman.

No, in my school discussing religion, God, and our beliefs aren't allowed. You'd get in trouble, unless its after-school!!! :) -Ash
