what, are you scared? Why don't you just go out and see what happens. This is not a commitment for life, is it? Give yourself a chance to have fun (just don't do anything stupid). and enjoy yourself.

I guess that you lost romantic interest in the person and you cannot find a polite way to say this. You still want to be friends with her. If this is the case, things cannot be same after you two stop dating one another. It would not be possible to pretend like nothing happenned and being just friends. So, do expect your date to feel disappointed or in many other countless ways. But it is not too late for you to change your mind and to move on.

Just go out with her, and see what happens. It could be that you're just nearvous because you didn't think it would happen, and now your having seconf thoughts. Go out with her, and if it doesn't work out tell her as soon as possible before it gets serious.
