I have a cleaner come in for 2 hours every other Monday and I pay her $25 per hour. We're not rich, but we both work full-time and have a business as well and just don't have the time. However, a couple I work with and live in the same town have a woman who cleans for them once every other week and she charges $15 per hour, so I am going to switch.

I pay my house cleaner $60. She works for about 4 or 5 hours and gets the place spotless, and even does laundry. Sometimes I give her an extra $20 if she stays longer or does a really good job. Too bad, though, she got married and doesn't come anymore. Know any good house cleaners in San Antonio?

you got paid $15 to do the whole house? if that's the case would you please come clean my house?
all joking aside, with you assisting her like that you should be paid hourly. if she is happy with your work and you stay busy and clean properly you should be paid $7-$10 per hour. if you worked for a cleaning service they would pay you about that and they would be charging the customer alot more. i think this person was taking advantage of you. find someone else to work for. good luck

I don't know where you live but I have never heard of such a low rate of pay!! If your job was as you explained in your question, you should have been making at least $250.00 or $300.00 per week.
I live in Michigan. I am still in shock. You should have quit.

If you mean $15 per hour, I suppose that's acceptable for a job that requires no post-secondary education. If you mean $15 for all of that work, then it's ridiculously low.
