YES NOW DON'T WAIT. RIGHT AWAY IF NOT SOONER. The heck with world organizations, more wars have been fought since the UN was created than before. I can't see why the USA should not be allowed to protect its own interests without the interference of some uppity UN-like group crying foul.

The problem with pulling out of the UN to form a new world organization to clean up the corruption is that most of the corruption is lead by american interests.
There was as much American complicity in the Oil for food program as in any other major nation.
If you are talking about pulling out so we can make our own rules, that undermines the whole reason for an international organization such as the UN. The UN was established to give all member nations an equal voice (although thats not really happening right now). The main problem with the UN right now is the super veto that the five permanent members of the security council have. Remove that veto problem from all of the countries and you have a more equal global society. But America has to abide by its agreements through UN treaties, which it has chosen not to a lot recently.
If you want to see what happens when the world's major super powers are not a part of a global organization like the UN, look up the League of Nations that was established after WWI

To pull out of the United Nations would be one of the most stupid things Bush could do. That would only show his arrogance even more and alienate the world even more than he already has.
Also, those rumors of corruption in the u.n. are like those rumors about Clinton being corrupt. None were ever proven but used by repigs to smir their reputations in times when they didn't like them.
Funny how Bush is suddenly liking the u.n. now. LOL

I don't want to pull out, but I want it completely overhauled. How can those same people still be there after all the proof of the corruption? They do nothing anymore, yet they live lavish lifestyles on the money they get. This used to be a great thing to have in the world. Get rid of the jerks!!

It's questions like this make me lose all faith in my country and conclude that we will not be the world's superpower much longer. I mean really.. how can we when we keep being so stupid?
Rumors of UN corruption have been around for a long time but nothing was ever proved. Bush and his cronies wanted the public to be pro-war without U.N. backing so they got all their neocons on that bandwagon.
Doesn't take a rocket-scientist to see through that one. and whats up with that neocon doing all that bashing and name calling just cuz somebody disagreed. Geez you neocons sure know how to make yourself look EVEN MORE stupid.

OMG you poor child. You have fallen into the mind propaganda trap.
Think for ajust a minute IF YOU CAN... the UN and anything they did was perfectly acceptable UNTIL they didn't agree with Bush... then suddenly there was this big propaganda pushed about corruption etc...
Now that Bush doesn't want to go to war with N.Korea, his faith in the UN is all of a sudden restored.
Now honey, thinkkkkkkkk, what does that all tell you!!!! Don't be brainwashed!!! Think for yourself.

Yes they are an anti-American establishment. I don't think we should be funding them considering they unaccountable for anything they do. I would go a step farther and kick them out of the United States as well. It will never happen because the democrats and the republicans both want the one world government.
Don't forget about Oil for Food

Yes. The Un is corrupt, neutered and has no teeth. They are totally useless and a waste of time.
North Korea is lobbing missiles at us and we respond diplomatically? I don't get it. What's the UN going to do? Warn them 18 times in a 12 year period? It's madness.

Beachbum, you are truly an irritating flesh-eating maggot. The UN is the MOST corrup, immoral organization in the planet. Which one of these helped you admire the UN:
Doing nothing in Rawanda
Doing nothing in Sudan
Doing nothing in Serbia
Sending in blue helmets into Sudan, only to have them rape the women
Doing nothing against Iraq for 12 years of violations
Doing nothing to stop Iran develop the nuke
Doing nothing against N. Korea
what else would you like me to give you to show you that YOU are the brainwashed anal drip? And most of what I just listed happened during your Dildo In Chief as president.

Actually Beachbum could not be more correct. And I find it really funny that any american would even begin to talk about UN corruption considering the amount of corruption in the current administration.
