Mystique isn't really 'powerful', just a master at the art of deception. Which means that despite the fact that she can't blow down buildings, she does have a upper hand when it comes to a suprize attack. If Mystique could catch Storm away from Jean Gray and Prof X, and also away from Wolverine, so that her true identity might not be discovered, then she might have a chance of just fooling storm into beleiving that she is rouge, and then shooting her in the face. storm wouldn't have time to blow the bullet away.
but if mystique had to fight storm with storm knowing who she really was, mystique would be a peice of blueberry toast before you could say thunderstorm.........

Storm would win. Mystique is formidable with her shape-shifting abilities, but in the end she has no real powers. Storm can fly circles around Mystique and systematecally pick her apart any way she wants. Storm wins, that's that.

In X-men you have to win by force and by control - storm would win by force, Mystique would win by control.
Which one would you have on your side depends on your goal? Mystique has a great power but her intentions are corrupt.
I choose storm.

mystique could be her but not have her powers so storm would win remember when mystique turned into wolverine and wolverine cut her claws off mystique can only transform but not have actual powers

Storm, one reason because if she did not have control over her powers...Storm is one powerful BIOTCH! The woman is more powerful then ya think...she has be in control of herself and her feelings, or she can cause some very scary natural disasters!
