I believe it is not ever acceptable to exclude by race. However I have been told by "open minded" liberals that white men should be considered second class citizens, and that minority group interests are more important than justice.

Are you a racist?

Wondering where I might get a crazy idea that liberals are racists? Please see my first diversity posting by clicking on my name.

People who say anyone should be a second class citizen based on race is racist, doesn't matter if its black, white, or purple.

Noone should be a second class citizen, no matter what, and they are definately not "open minded".

I myself am a liberal, and consider myself open minded, but I believe that justice should come before pandering to any group of people.

The people you are talking to and calling liberal do not act like they believe in the liberal values, which above all are equal rights for all (emphasis on the all) people.

The supposed "open minded liberal" is just a cover for someone who is obviously a bigot. There is no class system except for those who have and those who have not. That knows no color. Diversity is used to ensure that you look and hopefully employ the best of the best for your company, or look to bring all kinds of different thinkers into the group. Classic example is the Military. To them you are a number that wears green or blue etc.. How arrogant can people get if they think that any one color has an exclusive on experience, brain power, etc......over another.

No. We live in a multicultural society. See the world through the eyes of refugees and immigrants, especially Africans and Asians, and you will learn that their cultures, needs, history, languages, etc. are just as valid as ours. It is hard for them because they must work between two cultures and languages. This is often the situation facing recent refugees from places like Ethiopia, Somalia, the former republic of Yugoslavia, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Columbia, etc.
