nipple piercings for guys (from female perspective)?

Question

I'm 18 in 6 weeks and am thinking of getting my nipple pierced. What do people think (not that I'm strange I hope!), I'm thinking of a silver bar, have a nice, toned chest which will only get bigger from the gym, what are your thoughts girls?

Anyone got previous (bad) experience?

can see the gay argument haha but clearly I'm straight so...
Any other ideas? Eyebrow piercings are so overdone and don't want a tattoo....

Hot.

The thing about most piercings is that you can always let it close up if you decide it's not working for you.

Try it -- see if you like it, if the girls like it. If not? Let it close up.

The trick when you're young is not doing body mod that you can't reverse. No tattoos, no disfiguring mod (large diameter piercings, scarification, etc)... wait for that stuff until you're older and you're really sure of what you're doing.

If you do sports, just be aware that for some sports body rings get in the way. I wouldn't have an eyebrow piercing, frex, if I played rugby.

I had a bellybutton piercing for a while and had to let it close up because I play hockey and even though I taped it for games, it never healed. Just too much jarring and movement.

Remember for every girl who says it's not her cup of tea, some other girl will dig it. Do what you want. Don't worry about what other people think too much, you know? Your body, yours to adorn the way you want.

I think nipple piercings are awesome. First off, get them both, not one. It looks stupid when someone just has one pierced. Second of all, the loops look better than the barbells. The girls that are more likely to like the nipple rings are freaks in bed. If you are planning on working out your chest, make sure that you shower with an antibacterial soap right after your workout and try not to touch your nipples too much. Your hands are dirty and contain alot of germs. If you get a job, you wont have to take off your rings because they are under your shirt. When you take your shirt off, it will attract attention. Yes, it does hurt when you get them pierced but its well worth it. I say go for it. You want them enough to ask on yahoo answers so you should just get them done and not care what anyone says because your answers will probably be half and half. Some girls like it and some don't.

I find them a complete turn off. Especially when the guy has a perpetual ring in his nipple....sort of gives him that whole "doorknocker" effect and it just looks...cheesy.

I don't know. Nipple-piercing (as well as other body part piercing) has been very popular for the last 20 years now and I still don't like it. I can't get passed the whole "shock value" of it all. I can't look at someone seriously and with credibility in a professional atmosphere when their nipple-ring shows through their shirt and/or their eyebrow ring keeps distracting me from my work-related questions.

I guess ultimately, that would be MY problem...but you did ask for opinions from the female perspective....there you have it.

I dont mind at all. The only thing that makes you GAY is ahaving sex with someone of the same gender as you. I think its kind of hot. Their my guys nipples, if he wants to pierce him, who am I to say no. I know if he told me he didnt like my piercings, I would kick him to the curb. Just becareful working out with a new piercing. Make sure they give you a long enough bar with enough room to allow for movement. Those suckers HURT if they snag skin. You may want to invest ina few ace bandages to wrap around your chest when you work out. I know it kinda ruins the whole toned chest working out watch my flex effect, but TRUST me, that junk hurts the first few weeks. LOL

FYI part of growing up is not giving a rats patootie about what people think, if they dont like what they see, they can close their eyes lol.

Well I've got my nipples pierced, many women I know really like them.

You want a nipple piercing: Go for it get two, the symetry adds to the effect, they are not painful to get pierced, and they will feel great afterwards..

I think that they are hot. My man has them and I think they are kinda naughty so I like it. If you do decide to get it done, be VERY particular about cleaning because one of his got infected from not cleaning it the best and it makes your whole pectoral area sore. Use lots of sea salt and warm water. Also--hope you don't mind a little pain cuz he said it really hurts. Good luck!

PS--I definetely think 2 are better than just piercing one.

I have a friend who has one (doesn't look too bad, but I still don't really like it) and one day we were joking around and wrestled a little for fun, and all of a sudden we heard something, with a metal 'cling' (or however you'd describe metal falling on wooden floor) fall on the floor. we immediately stopped and he grabbed his chest, thinking that it will hurt soon very very much...

but it was a piece of his watch =)

so, I'd probably wouldn't really recommend it...and like I said before, I don't think it looks all that hot.

It freaks me out, but that's just cos I just have a thing about it, it's just one of those things that really grates on me like nails down a blackboard. I just don't like the thought of a ring through a poor sensitive little nipple, it must really hurt!

they are so sexy!!!! I think of the pain that i went through and if a guy can do that...your awesome only because some guys don't have a high tolerance for pain like that....so go get them you will look totally hot!!!!!!!!!!!!! the upkeep will last a couple of days but just think what you will look like with no shirt on once they heel
