i know my 12 year old says that all the time! i hate that term.. and it don't have anything to do being gay.... i like gay people and my kid knows i hate it regardless.....but he continues to say it....i find it offensive ,i guess because in bi-sexual.

I can't stand to hear people say that. The idea that gay means stupid is derived from gay meaning homosexual and homosexuals being "stupid". It's not an acceptable term to use, evar. I hear kids saying that all the time and I just think about how they have no idea that it's so insulting to some people. "That's so gay." Get a vocabulary!

gay used to mean happy so it could mean people being happy and people were jealous?

I can't believe that term is still used! It was popular when I was 14. That was 11 yrs ago!!

I believe it is offensive to those who are gay in reality.
It is not nice, just as when people call others retards - that is very offensive and rude.
