I took a home pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative but I am not suppose to get my period until the 16th. I have heard that you can find out as soon as 10 days after ovulation. Can anyone help me with this. I really want to know now and dont want to wait till I miss my period. Thanks!

The test that I took yesterday was a first response test but I still have 6 days until I should start my period.

I just took another first response test and its positive! The second line is not as dark as the first one but its there. YAY! Thanks for all your help.

Test kits are constantly improving. Since chemical levels vary, the results show up early for some and later for others. It used to be about 14 days. I think I found out before then. If you have the money and don't mind the ups and downs, you could probably test daily from day 10-14 and once more on the 16th.

pregnancy tests need time for the pregnancy horomone level to rise in your body if you are pregnant. An at home test needs to be taken after a missed period and an early response test can be taken up to 5 days before your missed period. It actually is measured on your period date, not your ovulation date for the home tests. If you were to get your period on the 16th, the earliest you could take an early response test would be the 11th - tomorrow. Good luck!

It was three weeks after my last period that I found out I was pregnant which was about 14 days after ovulation I think. I still found out before my period should have occurred. Do your breasts feel tender yet and are you feeling more tired. I had that before the test was positive.

Really and truly just wait 4 days before you are supposed to start your period. That's really the earliest you can do it. It can be agony to wait, but if you don't, you could waste lots of money on pregnancy tests! And, try not to stress, because that will delay the onset of your period. If you want to get an idea of probability, you could keep on checking your temp -- if it stays elevated, chances are good you may be positive. It starts dropping as your period begins/is about to start. But if you miss your period and your temp is still up, then, good sign for pregnancy!

Depending on the test - you can know as early as 7 days before your period is due. The EPT early test is really good or those hcg pregnancy test on ebay are great.

im having the exact same problem but u can take a first response test as soon as 5/4 days b4 ure missed period which is ok

You can get an ept htat will test 4 days before your period is due. The tests aren't sensitive enough. The HCG is minimal until just before your period

I would wait to u at least missed ya period. Maybe u could also be tired from just having a 10mth old. Take care.

you wont know if your pregnant or not if you didnt miss your period.if you did then you are pregnant.trust me ive been there.
