I was watching the World Cup and a thought came to me ... what happen's during the game if the player needs the loo, does he try to hold on?, go wherever he's standing? I can't see them being allowed to run back to the dressing room for a quick pee?

When I played football in High School/College, we were not allowed to go to "the loo" during a game. I suspect your players have been doing this long enough to realize they had better keep it light on the gatorade a couple of hours before the game, and go before you hit the field, and then again at halftime, just for good measure. Now see if you can answer my most recent question, please. Maybe you are more savy at finding stuff on the internet than I am.

It's unusual for that to happen as the players are running around and end up requiring to take on water at every opportunity rather than having to take a leak. Should they have a stomach upset and urgently need to go then they are probably not fully fit to continue in the match anyway and they should be substituted.

Exercise stops the body needing to go for a wee, as it is excreting most of its waste products through sweating.

When I was in a Sunday league team we just used to go next to the pitch. a bit chilly on the willy during the winter months.

They have special training to enable them to hold it for the 45-50 minutes they will be on the pitch.
Seriously, it's not that big a deal, most adults can manage the necessary control.
