Do you guys think that Zidane deserved to be player of the world cup? He hit that guy in the chest with his head, If it were me, I would run off the game, grab a knife and stab him, I bet thet hurts. The only reason that he got the award was because it was his last game

Here is what happened exactly
Zidane was born in marseille, France. His parents are Algerian muslims who immigrated to France in lte 60's palyed 5 years with Juventus de torino, he understands Italian very well.
Here is what went between them
Zidane : Ordinanza di tirare il costume!! / Stop pulling my shirt!
Materazzi : Taciti, enculo, hai solamente cio che merite... / Shut up butt ficked one, you are only getting what you deserve...
Zidane : Si e cio... / Yeah, that's it....
Zidane walks away but the italian player continues
Materazzi : Meritate tutti ciò, voi gli enculato di musulmani, sporchi
terroristici / You all desrve it, you butt ****** Muslims are all dirty terroristes
That is when Zidane returns and head butts hum.

Absolutely not. I was appalled that he won it. Player of the World Cup should not only be a great player but be a display of good sportsmanship.
In my opinion, the Golden Ball should have gone to Cavannaro or Buffon.

He got the award because he WAS the player of the World Cup. Nobody deserved it more!

yes i do because materatzie should have never said anything to him. if he would have never said anything then zidane wouldn't have head-butted him. sometimes there is more than just soccer and there is you feelings. somethings just hurt your heart and reacting is all you can do even if it isn't the smartest thing. and it wasn't that it was his last game it was that he is and was a great player and people admire him.

no i dont think he deserves it. especially after what he did to marizzari (sp?) haha and i would do what you said. i lost all respect for zidane after he did that. that was just low!

well not really but i dont like him very much. it was very stupid for him to do something like that. if he didnt do it the game could of turned out differently.
