Yes, you are missing something. The Big Bang theory actually says that every place in the universe would be similar to every other place. The 'Big Bang' is *not* an explosion in the usual sense. It is space itself that is expanding, not the materials going through space. So there actually wasn't a center for the expansion.
As for the shape, it appears to be an infinite plane. This is not the only possibility from the equations, but it is what the observations are pointing to. Other possibilities are that space has the shape of a 'sphere in four dimensions', so that no matter which direction you set out, you will eventually circle back to the place where you started. This is an example of curved space. Another possibility is a generalization of a saddle shape (although the saddle is two diemnsional and space is three dimensional).

useful question even if, there are some element's you've forgot to point. before each and every thing, in case you're taking string theory and M theory into the mixture, then you definitely discover that the initial theory of the tremendous bang has countless flaws that needed nice tuning. String theory is basically the theory that each and each and every one count is made from tiny vibrating strings on the sub atomic factor. the idea appeared to exercising consultation, yet might want to not be a achievable theory for the tremendous bang, truly because string theory branched out into about 5 diverse theory's. Then someone observed that there will be an 11th measurement ( I swear i'm not bullshi**ng you about this, verify it out your self in case you want) which merged each and each and every of the idea's back into one theory. And that is the position M theory is provided in.once you're taking the 11th measurement under consideration, then your strings seem to regulate type, extra like rippling sheet's truly than a vibrating string. Scientist realised that those 'sheet's' the position a logical format for the universe, or maybe perchance the multiverse. yet to make this a logical theory of each and every thing, then they might favor to describe the tremendous bang. They realised that if 2 of those sheet's collided, then it would mealy create a universe in itself. Our universe. this may propose there become no unmarried factor of starting place, and that some section's of the universe are certainly a count of milliseconds to seconds youthful than others with the aid of rippling of those sheet's. I become hoping that a number of this may help you, yet i'm gonna save your question in my concepts, seeing as you've a factor x

I have trouble understanding a lot of the "big bang" theory, but I have heard no other explanation that is supported by actual evidence. The theory does explain the expanding universe. As for the shape of the universe - It was announced two years ago this month that leading stellar evolutionists have determined it to be flat.

I do believe in the Big Bang theory and while I don't fully understand the intricacies regarding the universe's shape, I think it's flat. I agree with you that a spherical shape is unlikely. See the link below for an interesting discussion.

I believe the big bang theory is false, because I do not believe the redshift is only due to Doppler effect, but due to Compton effect.
I reckon the geometrical shape of the universe is a four dimension sphere, a hypersphere.

The big bang theory leaves too many unanswered questions, so i dont like it. And the univers is infinites, so it doesnt have a shape

This question WILL be answered by someone who has never seen the universe's shape. What I'm saying is that all info we get from space is hearsay.

no I don't believe in the big bang therory. because it's not in the bible. now if that's the way God created the earth with a big bang then yeah but not just because there was so much chaos and it could do nothing but bang. that's stupid. dig me?

no the big bang theory is just made up by a bunch of scientists..sorry....have you noticed that the only thing they would say is "maybe" this "maybe" that, they are never sure of anything they say so yeah...its not real
