I think that you should be alowed to date when you want to. Dating doesn't have to involve kissing, sex, etc... its more of the expierence of co-ed interaction that will be the most beneficial. If you don't allow kids to experience it first hand (maybe under a little supervision) they will only come to know dating through movies and MTV.... what a scary thought that is.

Lets just all send our kids out at 18 and think they have to dress like sluts, get drunk and have sex the first night... that will do the world some good.

well i think it is okay to date at 13-16 because then they can know how it feels to have a bf/gf. but i think at 17/18 it gets more serious cause you are close to an adulthood and tyou can live on your own so you can do whatever you want to do. you can also get married at that age too.

i know a couple of peole that i went to school with and they started to date like in 5th grade or in middle school. i don't know if they are still dating because i don't go to the same school as them any more. but also at my high school there are kids that are dating (kissing hugging...etc *not havingsex in school*) all the grades

Age has extremely little to do with maturity. Some people mature at an extremely young age, and some people never mature. Maturity is the key to dating responsibly, not age.

My mother told me that I shouldn't even TRY to have a serious relationship in middle school and high school. She told me I have my whole life to find someone, but now was the time for school and for me to become a smart, sucessful person.
She also mentioned that most guys are VERY immature and childish and that they are rarely what they seem.
I agree with her.

dating isn't necessarily about love though. it's fine to go out on dates and have a good time and get to know people without searching for someone to fall in love with.

I think when you are capable of typing in a clear, concise and understandable manner without zillions of typos, your brain is mature enough to control your immature body.

In other words, please don't date anyone for a few more decades.
Have a nice day =D

serious relationshipa re of 17+ i date boys before 17 like 22, and i felt diappointed, because you are not mature enough to deal with them, they can do what they want with you, not abuse you, but like having health problems and don't tell you, and if you are mature you will realize!
