Most hardware stores & stores that sell cleaning supplies carry moth balls. I actually found mine in the basement of the house I just bought. If you need to store clothing & don't want moths to get to them, wouldn't it be better to use cedar to keep the bugs out? It would smell nicer too! That aweful smell from moth balls is just nasty.

Yes Wal-Mart will, better yet try the "Moth Ice Crystals, by Enoz in Wal-Mart, it's wonderful, they kill small insects, and bugs, and gives your place a very clean and refreshing smell, unlike the regular moth balls that smell like old people, mildew and musk, trust me I have been using this product for years, it really works...

I live in SC on the coast. I can get moth balls at Wal-Mart and my local hardware store. Sometimes even grocery stores carry them.

If your purpose is to keep the moths out of your closet you might want to consider cedar blocks as an alternative. They are quite effective, a whole lot less toxic and smell a much nicer (to humans, anyway).

Baking soda!! Make a paste with water, smear it all over the inside of it.Let it dry overnight.Wipe it out the next day.Make sure you put a fresh box of baking soda in the freezer and in the icebox. Leave them in.Replace them about every two weeks, are until you think it's starting to get stinky again.Don't worry,Baking soda is very cheap.

I think there is a cheaper way to find moth balls than to buy them...you'd probably find a lot of them in the attic, under the bed, or in a magic wardrobe (like in the Chronicles of Narnia).

In Pennsylvania, you can buy them in most supermarkets. (Look in the laundry section.) I think Wal-Mart and Lowes probably have them.
