I use T-Mobile and just recieved a call from a friend on which I thought was her cell. I sent the text and realized that it went to the family house landline. How do I know if it was recieved or not?

Sprint offers a service that will allow you to text a landline and it will read aloud the message to them when they answer. Pretty stupid if you ask me, but I don't know if anyone else has it.

At this time most landline phones cannot receive text messages. The only conceivable way would be if the phone was being forwarded to a cell, and even then it may not go through.

It depends on your carrier, but there is no technical reason why it cannot.
