Am I wrong to think that this person has no point? All fans leave their seats after spectacular plays, don't they. Doesn't she just need to be a better fan?

I see your point. That person had no right to get upset since you were excited for your team. However, sometimes I get upset when people in front of me stand for the WHOLE game. You can see just as well sitting down as you can standing up.

Most fans get up and yell like crazy for their teams and have the fired up spirit at football games. Heck I do that at baseball games for that matter! At least real fans that are into the game do! She needed to stay home as the old saying goes "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen". She is probably not into sports.

Anyone that doesn't want to stand up during any part of a game, doesn't value the experience as much as you and therby doesn't deserve a view of the game when you want to stand. As a season ticket holder, I stand after a great play, during a crucial part of the game that fan "support" could help the team with (defensive 4th down play), etc. Ignore them and if that doesn't help, tell them to stop flapping their mouth.

That's part of being a good sports fan and enthusiastically supporting your team --- something that the other person obviously has no concept of. Makes me wonder why people like that go to games.

You should be considerate of their feelings. You could try switching seats with them. If they won't do that, I would stand up during the whole game, just to make them mad. That's what they get for not compromising.

Next time that happens...punch their face in!!!

It's a game, it's gonna be loud, people are going to jump, and big plays will happen....hardly a place for somebody to be bitter.

Do you live in El Paso? This happened all the time when I lived there and went to sporting events.
