Well, it is not really hard to do that. The question is what word processing program you are utilizing. If you have Microsoft Word, then you have no problem..
Just Open MS Word and open the *.rtf file.. Go File--> Save As --> and make sure the file format is .doc and it will be changed to doc file..

Copy and Paste could be done from one file to another as well (Control+C) to copy the whole file and then open a blank .doc file and (Control+V) to paste into the blank file. Then save the file as doc file

This is kind of simple...
You need to resave your file as that file type.
1. Open up your resume in the editor (WordPad I would guess?)
2. Go to File -- SAVE AS
3. Under where it asks for a file name, there is an area labeled Save as type:
4. Switch the choice to TEXT DOCUMENT
5. Then change the file name to FILENAME.doc
6. Then Save

This will change the file extension from rich text format to a doc format...

This should work!

Can you just copy and paste it into word and then save it again.

Otherwise go to your RTF file and go save as>>>>type in the file name>>>>and under that click on the list box and see if you can change it to a DOC

That option should be available to you just by going to "file", then "save as" and then select the option of "word document" or "doc". I have Windows XP using Microsoft word processor in Microsoft Works and that is what I do in that situation.
