No, you just get a speeding ticket. If you already have points on your license and this new ticket makes your point total exceed 12, then you're license will be taken away. Speeding at such an excessive speed and getting a ticket will also result in high insurace rates. It's not worth it trust me. I have gotten one too many tickets myself.

Yes there is an instant ban for anyone caught doing 100mph so if you are on a motorway where the speed limit is 70mph 30 mph over will give you an instant ban.

However if you are caught driving more than 10% over the speed limit (34 in a 30, 45 in a 40, 56 in a 50 etc) more than 4 times in 3 years it to is a instant driving ban.

Moral of the story is don't speed or at least don't get caught!

This is true for the UK, yes - 30 mph over the speed limit does result in an automatic ban (after a court summons)

The short answer is no.

The long answer is this:

Most police officers have discretionary will when it comes to issuing specific citations to those who have been pulled over. In the case of someone going more than 20mph (including 30mph) over the speed limit, many counties and states have laws that require an officer to charge the driver with wreckless endangerment (or wreckless driving depending on the state, some have both). This typically carries a very large fine, possible jailtime, possible impoundment of vehicle, and possibly revokation of license. Most of the time, it is up to the police officer as to whether they issue this on the citation though, and if the officer feels that the driver was speeding and that there were no other violations, he may let the driver off with a lowered citation. Other times, if the person is being rude or suspicious, the officer may hit him with everything.

If you're from the UK, if you've been driving under 6 months and get 3 points on your licence (which speeding usually carries), you will lose your licence for at least 6 months and may have to retake your test. If you've been driving for a year and get 6 points, again, you get a ban and may have to retake your test. After a year, it's 12 points for a ban.

There are no automatic driving bans for any speeding infractions. The only thing you can get banned on automatically (off the top of my head) is driving while intoxicated.

No driving ban although that will be one Serious ticket!! Seriosuly though its been proven that by driving fast you will reach your destination by at least 13- 16 seconds faster. Is it really worth it when the odds of possibly killing yourself or taking a life is increased???? Something to think about eh...

I don't think so. The only automatic driving ban I have heard of is when you are driving over 100mph - but I have only "heard" it, I don't know if it's an actual law, and if it is it probably varies state to state.
