No he does not. Payton was great for 12 years, tremendous longevity for a running back. Like Tomlinson, he could even throw the football, but Walter was a much better blocker, and great pass receiver in a time before the "West Coast " offense. When he retired, he held the record for passes caught by a running back. Oh, and he ran behind some AWFUL offensive lines, on AWFUL teams.

Someone should PIMP SLAP you...are you Drunk,High, or just plain retarded?? I my eyes only Jim Brown was a more complete back than "sweetness"..LT is good and all, but talk to me in 10 seasons and if he has 16,000yds rushing and a ring...along with a first ballot hall-of-fame induction then we can talk. How dare you disgrace Walter like that...this is almost has bad as when Ditka decided NOT to give the ball to Payton and let that fat bastard Perry get the TD in Super Bowl XX(the BIGGEST single disgrace in Super Bowl history). Back to LT....aside from Payton and Brown....there are guys named Franco Harris,OJ Simpson,Gale Sayers,Eric Dickerson,Barry Sanders and many many more that are in line ahead of LT.
Please...don't make me laugh with these retarded questions.

Actually, the contrary is true.

Walter Payton makes LT look like Emanuel Lewis.

Ummm you can't compare the two because they played in different times.

These kinds of questions sometimes bother me because people will almost ALWAYS say that the older players are the best athletes even if they weren't.Tomlinson is a fantastic football player, that's for damn sure... Payton was as well..but like I said, we don't know how well he would play in today's NFL...different times.

You are nuts. LT is great, but come on - we are talking about the best RB in history that played more than 8 years (in all respect to Barry).
