Because they can't be bothered and just because they smell doesn't mean they are liars. I'm sure that some liars are perfectly clean.
I like a good lie and I may or may not have washed recently.

There are some people that realize fresh water is actually a scarce resource. They go into markets and see people pay more for a gallon of water than a gallon of gas. To them it's a crisis and they really feel a need to conserve.
They are probably all compulsive liar idiots because they are told everyday how much they stink... then they go insane.

Well, after a few days completely without personal hygiene (except brushing teeth) and extended movement all around the countryside I myself experienced that a lengthy bath is pretty relieving. And the people who just stink... erh, sometimes they even wash, but their natural smell is just too strong. And in comparison to using a lot of perfume not washing at all might be the rather economic decision. Just kidding.

Lots of different reasons: laziness, mental health problems including schizophrenia and depression,lack of knowledge about personal hygiene, physical difficulties. I dont think compulsive lying has anything to do with it. Perhaps the questioner is just angry with one person. Sounds like it.

They obviously do not value their own personal hygiene or health that much to want to bother with a bath or a shower. It's their choice yet it's the people around them that truly suffer - the ones that have to acknowledge their disgusting stench or their greasy mop of hair. Not having a bath or shower is plain lazy and shows a lack of ambition, motivation and drive in one's life.

They're probably going through something. You're not helping them by behaving that way. They're either going into bum-hood, or they're going to be better than you one day, due to the motivation they're getting from people like you. LOL. Push them. I dare you. Chances are you wont be saying anything after that, if both of you are still living after the experience.

I think you don't have the time to wash u just need to pay someone to do it for you instead of walking around with dirty clothes.

I don't know but if their not going to wash, I wish they would at least brush their teeth! And these ppl are always the close talkers!!!

Could it be that they are suffering from depression, or otherwise have very low self-esteem, and need your sympathy and help, not derision?
