i just got an acoustic guitar and it has a knob at the bottom of the guitar for the strap but no knob at the top and it's a tie on one end of the strap anyone know how to put the strap on?

Tie it around the headstock under the strings just above the "nut" that's the white thing with the grooves for the strings at the bottom of the headstock. Use a square knot.

You could tie it to the top of the neck like the others are suggesting or you can bring it to a music store and have them put on a holder knob, " compare it to other guitars ." That might be your best option.

Tie it at the top of the headstock,under the strings and below the first set of tuning keys.
