The volume sucks! Some of my songs play just fine and the volume is good enough. But then most of the songs barely have any volume even when I turn the volume up high on both the ipod and my car stereo. Anyone having the same problem with their ipods and cassette adapters, or know how to fix this? I'm not too fond of the FM transmitter, too staticky and complicated.

Instead of using the cassette adaptor you plug into the dock connector, try the cassette adaptor you plug into the headphone jack. the volume can be more easily adjusted. you can use any cd player cassette adaptor. they're cheaper too.

Some songs are recorded quieter than others. Change the "Volume Boost" in iTunes by clicking on the options tab after getting info (Right click on a song and choose get info) on the song.
